Terms of Service and Policies

Aftermarket and Performance Parts Policy: INSTALLATION OF THESE PARTS ARE AT YOUR OWN RISK. DO NOT USE AFTERMARKET / PERFORMANCE PARTS unless and until you have carefully read this Customer Notification and Disclaimer of Liability (this “Disclaimer”). The installation of these parts on your vehicle indicates that you have (a) had the opportunity to inquire about applicable local, state and federal laws and (b) read and understand, and accept all of the terms of, this Disclaimer. Customer agrees  to fully defend, indemnify and hold harmless GenTek Performance, LLC from any and all claims, lawsuits, demands, causes of action, liability, loss, damage and/or injury, of any kind whatsoever (including without limitation all claims for monetary loss, property damage, equitable relief, personal injury and/or wrongful death), whether brought by an individual or entity, or imposed by a court of law or by administrative action of any federal, state or local government body or agency, arising out of, in any way whatsoever, the use and/or misuse of these parts.

Audio & Video Recording: For the protection of our staff, our customers and our property, surveillance devices installed both inside the building and outside covering the lot have audio & video monitoring, recording or transmitting technology. Such surveillance devices include security cameras mounted inside and outside the premises may capture conversations. This notice is to allow prospective customers and other parties who may be with customers to be aware that their conversations and actions while on the property may not be private. By signing below, you acknowledge you and anyone you bring with you onto the property are aware of, and consent to the possibility that your conversations and movements may be recorded during the time you are present at a property.

Cancellation Policy:  All cancellation requests must be made in writing and delivered in person to GenTek Performance at 3839 Perkiomen Ave.  Reading Pa  19606.  Payment for any service work or parts purchased by GenTek Performance prior to receiving the cancellation request are due immediately upon receipt of cancellation request.  Vehicle must be picked up during business hours within 72 hours of cancellation. Refusal to sign final invoice does not constitute cancellation of service or reason for non-payment.  Return of parts purchased from GenTek Performance are accepted in New-unused condition within 15 days of purchase date with purchase receipt.  There will be a 25% restocking fee for any parts that are returned.  Custom ordered parts are not returnable.

Custom Work / Classic Car Policy: We do not provide quotes on labor for custom work. Custom work at this level requires thoughtful planning, meticulous attention to detail, and precise execution. For these reasons, we can not and do not provide quotes. We will give you a loose estimate for classic cars on how many hours we think the job will require. However, classic cars always come with surprises and more times then not, unforeseen issues arise.  Every member of our team is here to build world-class cars with the shared goal of complete client satisfaction. Customer Supplied Parts or Used Parts Policy: Customer supplied parts and used parts are subject to quality control inspection. Parts deemed substandard will be replaced with mechanic suggested part with customer's approval. It is the responsibility of the customer to make sure supplied parts are the correct size and fitment for their vehicle and are complete with no missing parts. If the parts do not work or fit on the vehicle, or if parts are missing all labor times for hours completed up to discovery of the error are still due.  We do not warranty labor on parts supplied by the customer.  We do not warranty parts that are supplied by the customer.  Customer agrees  to fully defend, indemnify and hold harmless GenTek Performance, LLC from any and all claims, lawsuits, demands, causes of action, liability, loss, damage and/or injury, of any kind whatsoever (including without limitation all claims for monetary loss, property damage, equitable relief, personal injury and/or wrongful death), whether brought by an individual or entity, or imposed by a court of law or by administrative action of any federal, state or local government body or agency, arising out of, in any way whatsoever, malfunction or failure of customer supplied part.

Plastic Parts Policy: Plastic becomes brittle and deteriorates over time.  Gentek Performance is not responsible for broken plastic clips, hoses or other plastic parts that may break during the course of the repair due to brittleness and/or deterioration.

Progressive Billing Policy:  For large projects that go on longer than one week.  We bill every Friday and payment is due on receipt.  Prepayment will be required for big-ticket components.  Parts and material purchased by the shop are due for reimbursement at the end of each billing cycle.  An additional 2% of labor billed is added to cover the cost of consumables.  An additional 3% of invoice total is added to cover credit card processing fees, which will be removed if paying cash or check.  $30.00 non-sufficient funds fee will be added on returned checks.  Weekly invoices that are not paid within 5 days will be charged a 2% late fee of the outstanding balance per week.  Invoices past 5 days will constitute a halt in work on the project until the balance is paid.  Outstanding balance over 30 days may result in cancellation of the project and will result in daily storage fee of $55.00 per day until vehicle is picked up.

The installation of these parts on your vehicle indicates that you have (a) had the opportunity to inquire about applicable local, state and federal laws and (b) read and understand, and accept all of the terms of, this Disclaimer. Parts are designed and intended solely for legally-organized and sanctioned, closed- course, off-road competition use and is not for use on public streets, roads or highways. Customer hereby affirms that the vehicle such parts are being installed on will not be used on public streets, roads or highways and assumes all risks associated with the use of these parts and waives all liability claims against GenTek Performance of any kind or nature, including liability for penalties, fines, property damage, personal injury or death.

Return Of Used Parts Policy: Customers must request the return of used/stock parts that are removed from their vehicle at the time the vehicle is drop off for service work.  It is the customer's responsibility to make sure they have received back all the parts requested before they leave the property. Once the vehicle is picked up, used parts not taken back by the customer become property of GenTek Performance to dispose of as they see fit.
